This is "Punching In a Dream" by the naked and famous a big 2011 prospect from New Zealand. The haunting synth sound that's still so catchy is really effective, you just want to listen to it over and over again.

Their single "Young Blood" debuted on the New Zealand chart at number one in 2010—the first New Zealand artist in three years to do so. Thom Powers and Alisa Xayalith are the "creative force" behind the five-piece band. The Naked and Famous released their first studio album in September named "Passive me, aggressive you".

These are the lyrics.

All the lights go down as I crawl into the spaces
Fight tight all the screens, life tearing at the seams

Wait, I don’t ever want to be here
Like punching in a dream breathing life into the nightmare

If it falls apart I will surely wake it
Bright lights turning green
This is worse than it seems

Wait, I don’t ever want to be here
Like punching in a dream breathing life into the nightmare

For get through, forget you
In the place that you’re feeling lost
In the corner where this moment

And the face that you wish was a ghost

(woooow … wooow … woooo)

Wait, I don’t ever want to be here
Like punching in a dream
Breathing life into the nightmare
