28 Weeks Later

As you might have guessed from the title, 28 Weeks Later is a sequel to 28 days later that follows the events that take place 6 months after the original outburst of the rage virus. It has a different director to the first film, and also has better special effects mainly due to being filmed 5 years after the first and possibly having a higher budget.

The storyline follows 2 children who were abroad when the events of 28 days later took place. The American army has took control of the UK and are re-populating London by bringing in people who had been evacuated safely in the previous film. Inevitably the rage virus manages to find its way into the city and the army proceed with 'Code Red' which means they kill everyone, the 2 children manage to escape with the help of a couple of soldiers.

Unfortunately I stuggled to find the teaser trailer, most of the videos I found were either the full length trailer or were fan made. Here is the only teaser trailer for this film that I could find.

Because this could be an un-official teaser trailer I have also posted a link to the official full length trailer.

The trailer begins in a similar style to that for 28 Days later, It has sections of text explaining the steps that have taken place between the first and second film with clips between them. However it has more of a military style theme to it and shows bio-hazard signs and bags being used along with helicopters and other stuff like that. The voice over on the tanoy works well as a voice over for the trailer. The calm section in the hospital room builds up tension quite well because the viewer is expecting something to happen. The rest of the trailer is people running from the military and the 'infected' and is made up of fast clips with rock music over the top.
