My original poster design was quite a simple design that was a cross between the poster for 28 Days Later, and the German poster for 28 Weeks Later.
I quite liked the use of the contrasting red and grey on the German poster and also like the simplicity of the 28 Days later poster. I kept these ideas in mind when making the first poster design.
For the dead bodies I gathered a group of people that were willing to lie in various positions in a corridor at college. After trying various shots and being shooed away by a maths teacher I managed to get some quite good photos. Here are a few of the better ones.
I used a mixture of the polygonal and magnetic lasso tool in Photoshop to split the image into 2 sections. I then used the Posterize tool to make the image look more animated and used hue and saturation on the different sections to make them the two different colours.

Here is what I did for the poster design before changing my mind. It has the prototype of my films logo/title and also contains an attempt at a glass smash which I'm probably going to use in my new version of the poster.
Although the image was quite bright and stood out well, I decided that it didn't fit the style of my film.
