What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Before we came to a final finished set of products we have had multiple drafts that have been used to receive constructive criticism. Each time we have took in to account thngs that people have said and have worked to fix multiple errors. One of the first main issues we had was trying to get the magazine to look professional in that it felt to bleak. Here is the first draft:

To fix this issue we looked at ways to fill the gaps and to make the image on the front more bold and noticable. We decided that we would fill the white background with an image. To achieve this we used an image in the background took with a still camera of the location seen at the beginning of the trailer. We also made the main image much bigger and slotted it in on the left hand side, this left some more space for another image of the main character running which makes the poster look more professional and interesting.

Another very useful bit of audience feedback was on the video. Many people were saying that while they understood that the trailer was supposed to create mystery and suspense, they felt that it needed a narrative just to give the story a bit more context. With this is mind we created a small script and recorded the voice over.

As the audience feedback was so valuable we decided that we would make the video public on 'Youtube' so it was open to more opinions. Here is a screenshot of our video on 'Youtube'.

From audience feedback we have learned how to take constructive criticism and to utilise it quickly and effectively. Other peoples opinions are highly useful as constantly working on a project eventually takes away your perspective as an audience member.
