Whilst filming I used a number of new media technologies, firstly the HD Camera itslef, this was a great piece of tech as it was user friendly, esily portable and being HD my film was of a high quality. The tri-pod was useful as I was able to make the camera steady and with adjustable heights and levels I was able to create a varity of shots usch as high and low angle which were ideal on a heritage railway. The microphones were obviously used for sound levels, the boom microphone was great for filming from a distance and captruing all the surround sounds, the "Dead Cat" was also great to use as it filtered out the sounds of the wind and softened some sounds such as the engine letting off steam. The radio microphone was easilt portable and discrete and the hand held microphone was great for my interview, Headphones allowed me to check the audio levels before filming.
