4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research planning and evaluation stages ? Creating the Advert - Finishing touches

The last thing I had to do for the advert was too put a qoute and a day and time and channel for my programme,as discussed earlier i felt BBC 2 was the best channel for my programme as it's more upmarket than Discovery and BBC 2 has a history of showing specialist documentaries and hobby programmes as well as Railway programmes Great British Railway Journeys


For this I needed to get a picture of the BBC 2 logo to put on my advert as another layer, I went online and then saved it as a jpg so the image would be of high quality. Lastly I typed the rest of the text, again in Gill Sans and Midland Red I included the Qoute "First Class - Radio Times" this was a pun which is typical of these adverts and the Radio Times reflects my target audience. I also went for "Departing 6:30 on BBC 2" again for comic value. I then manipulated my image so a house wasn't visible and myslef and the engine were more definate and dramatic
