4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research planning and evaluation stages ? Creating the advert - Software

Part of the brief was to create a Newspaper/Magazine Advert for the film I had to decide on which software I should use to create my advert. The two choices were Microsoft Office Publisher and Photoshop. Both these programmes have thier advantages and disadvantages. Publisher is very easy to use and templates and you can choose from a variety of templates to create various publications. Alternately it is limited when it comes to editing and "doctoring" the image. On the other hand photoshop has a wider libary of affects, you can change the contrast, hue, colour, manipulate and move images, edit objects out of the image. The disadavantege is that it can be confusing for first time users. In the end I chose to use photoshop
