Designing the 'Wired' for the ending of the trailer

We needed something to end our trailer with (when we'd finished adding the rest of our shots!) and we felt that it should be something to do with the name of our show. We thought it would be pretty cool to have a 'squiggle' effect behind the word 'WIRED'. We began with a blank black background in Photoshop.
We then used the paint brush, at diameter 42, to add a squiggle effect. We decided that white would be the best colour to do this in, as it provided a stark contrast. The result is below. We had already decided that the font for 'WIRED' would be Agency FB, so we added this, in the original colour that it was on the poster. We felt that the text looked a little lost, and wasn't really clear enough on top of the squiggle, so we added an 'outer glow' on to it in the same colour as the text. We put the opacity up to 100%, so that it was clear and opaque. We also turned the noise up to 91% to add a 'scattered' effect on the glow. We put the spread to 50% and the size to 193px so that it covered a significant part of the white. Once this was done, the WIRED still looked a little lost, so we added a drop shadow which made it stand out more. This is the end product, we're really happy with it and feel that it reflects our trailer and characters as a whole because it's a little bit crazy and out of control.
Once this was finished, we decided that it would look good if we changed the colour of the background several times and then added JPEG's of this to the end of the trailer, in very quick sucession. It looked like this in Premier Pro:

This created a really good effect of flashing lights and reminded me of disco lights.
