To acheive this we used Photoshop. We took the finished text, and added it to a Photoshop document. We then began to erase it bit by bit, saving the file as a PNG after every part was erased. It was saved as PNG so that there was no background. We then added all of these images to our Premire document as an image sequence; we then had to reverse the sequence so that it was writing on to the screen instead of off the screen.
Also, over the opening sequence, we recorded a voice over introducing the new soap as we thought it would make it more clear what the trailer is representing. The voice over says 'E4 presents the newest, sexiest, teenage soap of the decade'. It also makes it more realistic and proffesional and clearly indicates that the trailer is for a new teenage soap on e4. Furthermore, to make it look even more realistic, we placed the e4 logo in the corner of the trailer to give it that proffessional look.
