Filming is well underway!

We have successfully shot the first two scenes of our film and are now well underway in the editing process.

Overall we think the filming of the first two scenes went well and we have achieved what we set out to. On the days shooting, we planned our shots carefully and filmed each part of the scenes from a variety of angles to ensure we had a large choice in the editing process.

Here are some of the shots that we feel were the most successful.

We encountered several problems when filming. Lighting was an issue at times, particularly indoors. Ideally we could have done with some professional fill lights but with the limited equuipment we possess we had to make do with natural light and the artifical house light. We agree that the majority of the shots we captured have good lighting but there are a few indoor shots where the lighting is poor. We plan to avoid using these shots and for the ones we can't perhaps using the 'Brightness and Contrast' tool effects on the editing package will help to improve the quality of the shots.

This is one example of a shot where the lighting was poor.

Also we have learned that continuity is something we need to scruntinise all the time as when we came to editing we found a number of shots that we couldnt use due to continuity errors. Therefore when we shoot future scenes we will take a lot more care and attention to detail when it comes to continuity.
