Title Design

I wanted the logo/title of my film to be completely original. To make sure of this I didn't use any existing fonts off the computer or off the internet, I drew out the logo using black marker on paper. I would usually just draw it directly into Photoshop using my graphics tablet however I liked the particular look of the first draft so I decided to scan it in as the template.

After scanning it, I opened up the image in Adobe Photoshop and used the magic wand tool to select the dark area created by me with the marker pen.

I then used layer tools to bevel the writing to give it the 3d blood like texture and I also dropped a slight shadow just to emphasise the edges a bit.

I then removed the background and saved the image as a png. file so that I could then import it into the poster and the magazine cover quite easily when I need to. The image below is the finished version of the logo when on a blank white background.
