My Adverts

For my newspaper i created 3 adverts, one for a prom fair, one for unwanted gold and one for a kitchen business.

I decided on these as i noticed they were the main types of adverts in local newspapers. The Prom Fair and Unwanted Gold adverts will be placed at the bottom of my inside page underneath my article, I took this idea from my research into existing newspapers when noticing they had a similar layout.

I decided on a pink and green colour scheme for my prom fair advert as i thought it stood out well with the pink text ontop of the green dress in the back ground. I added a title in a font which i downloaded from 'da font' along with a more plain font for the information about the event, i did this so the title would attract the audience and the information was clearly visible, i also added my newspaper logo to show who the event was organised by. I took an image in a prom dress and set it as the background to fit the theme and also bring alot of colour into the advert making it catch the eye.

My second advert was the Unwanted Gold, for this i decided on a gold and white colour scheme which is typical and generic for this type of advert as it matches the product. I added two images of gold which i took myself and edited in photoshop to bring out colour with the curves and brightness tool. I carried on the colour scheme in the title then used a plain black font for the main information, again so it is clearly visible.

My final advert will be placed on my front page as a banner at the bottom. It is a kitchen advertisement which i noticed was common on local newspapers. For this i chose a pale blue, white and black colour scheme so that it contrasted with my logo so that it would stand out as a seperate part of the page. I made sure the information showing where to view the full advert was in a bold black box so that readers would easily see it. I also created a small logo for the company stating their name so that the advert was made recogniseable.
