Things to consider for final shoot

Ahead of our final shoot this weekend we have had to think about how certain shots will have to be filmed. For example we intend to have a shot of Matt and Terry together both holding a shotgun in terry's garage. However we will only have one shotgun prop therefore we will have to use a crop effect to merge two shots together to create the illusion that both characters are holding a shotgun at the same time.

To make this effect believable we will have to position the camera and keep it in the exact same position for both shots. We will have to establish a centre line in the frame where the crop line will fall. This line must not be crossed by either actor. In the first shot Matt will hold the shotgun and stand to the left of the centre line, and in the second shot Terry will hold the shotgun and stand to the right of the centre line. Then in post-production the two shots will be merged into one.

Another thing we have to consider is the photoshoot for the film poster images. As we are nearing the end of making the film we are starting to focus our attention on creating the poster and planning the radio advert. We have to wait until we have finished the film before we can do the radio advert beacuse we intend to use snippets of sound from the film. However we can get started on the poster.

We intend to take all the photos for the poster whilst shooting the final scenes becuase the characters will all be in costume.
