I created a series of logos for my newspaper:
1) i really like the layout of this logo with the towns name in bold and the rest of the title in a different colour, this makes all of the text stand out but makes it really clear that it is a local paper.
2) I like the use of three colours in this logo but much prefer the layout of the previous. I also think that the text on this logo looks slightly squashed and that the town name doesnt stand out.
3) On this design i really like the font used but feel it would work better combined with a bold font for the town name as shown in my first logo.
4) On this logo i like the red box behind the text as i think it rounds off the logo well and seperates it from the rest of the text that will be on the newspaper. however i dont think that the black text stands out enough from the red background so this makes it less clear that it is a local paper from first glance.
5) again with this logo i like the back ground and the use of font but i think that the bold font would be better applied to the town name.
