Question 3- What have you learnt from audience feedback?

To gain audience feedback on our trailer, we asked a few friends and fellow media students to watch the trailer and tell us what they thought. We made sure that they were all within our target audience, between the ages of 16 - 25. Here is what they had to say:

As there wasn't much technical feedback provided by these students, we then asked two of the students in our class to comment on this, these are the points that they made:

  • The undercranking used on the ballet scene was very effective and sophisticated.

  • The quick cuts made it look professional as this is how real trailers look.

  • The flashing WIRED at the end was very good, it looked like something that you would see on E4.

Throughout our production we continuously asked other students in our class to watch our progress, to ensure that we were keeping to conventions and appealing to our audience. We found that people were unclear about our character types and their personalities. This is why we included the shots of the characters with their boards. Despite this, from our latewst audience feedback it seemed that our first character's personality was still unclear. If we were to do the project again, or have more time, we would chage the shots that we have of this character by changing the location or the situation that she was in.
