Question Two

How effective is your combination of your main product and ancillary texts?



When designing our poster and radio advert we were aware of the fact that theyt would have to be closely linked to the newspaper. We did this by including the name of the newspaper on each of our products, as shown below...











To link our poster and radio advert we included our slogan 'Guaranteed to float Your Boat'. We recognised that this is a well known metaphor, and if this were a real upcoming newspaper it could be understood even without the audience seeing the poster before hand.



However, as a pair the image gives the slogan more meaning in the way that the boat, which is made from the newspaper, is literally floating on water.
