Hello from the Other Guys...

After taking a more thorough look at Empire's back catalogue of their magazine covers we have chosen four of which we like the style of and similar to what we will try to imitate.

Along with this we also took a look at one of Empire's main competitors, Total Film Magazine. With the covers of a similar style of a close up of the villains/characters face, or a long shot of one of the figures.

We also have decided that our title logo will be again in a similar style to these magazines.




However out of the two we prefer Empire's due to the fact the colouring stands out more and Total Film generally use white text instead of the red. Empire's cover design is more clear, defined and interesting.



For our cover we think we may aim towards a similar style to the example picture below.

Although our cover will feature text as this is a special subscribers edition which leaves text out. Our characters face will be the victim, bound and gagged and the mechanical arm will be some kind of torture device.
