With a completed backdrop and a rough outline of our plans for various parts
of the song we decided to set a date for filming and booked the studio for 2 and a half hours so that we had time to set up and get some filming done. In previous lessons we had contemplated rolling the backdrop onto the floor and getting some high angle and head on shots of Emma lying/rolling across the floor. But we decided that it would be better to film at first, with the backdrop hanging. When we arrived to film it took us an hour and a half to set up. After we'd hung the backdrop we added some c
oloured lights behind and to the sides to create a vibrant, club feel. We took the hood off a photography lamp to provide some front lighting and turned the overhead light off to creat a more appropriate atmosphere. At first we set up the camera for head on medium close ups but later on filmed both high angle and low angle shots. After a while we decided to
play around with the lighting to try and get a silhouette shot, andwe succeeded by turning off the back lighting and turning down the iris on the camera to create a visually stunning effect. As we had set the lights to "sound mode" the colours kept changing as the song plays through creating a vibrant background with a black silhouette dancing in front.
